Montreal police are reportedly "investigating" Dawson College Massacre!, a Flash game based connected the 2006 shooting at Dawson College that left one student dead and 19 injured.

On Sep 13 2006, Kimveer Gill went on a shot rampage at Montreal's Dawson College, killing 18-year-old student Anastasia Rebekah De Sousa and wounding 19 others before taking his own life after organism slam in the limb by police. A Flash game based on that tragedy was released survive hebdomad and it has quite predictably stimulated strong feelings among students at the school.

"I couldn't consider it," nursing student Laura James told the CBC. "I was the likes of candidly shocked, because wherefore would individual do that?"

"IT can hurt multitude. If someone exactly falls upon this site that was actually there they could be reliving something that's like really traumatizing in their life," added fellow bookman Serina Galle. "None one wants to live over that."

One of the sites hosting the game removed it after being asked to suffice so by the Dawson student pairing but it's still available happening at least trio other sites, including Newgrounds, where the game's writer wrote, "Most of the dialogue is understood directly from quotes of the taw! I tried to remain faithful the reality of this event. In the event everyone did freeze in a sense and let Kimveer make mark practice in the cafeteria. Had the police not quickly set-aside him he would have killed more. The game is made intrinsically to follow these events and at the same time try to add a bit fun, merely it's mostly to rhenium-live the experience in some respects… have fun." He also said he was sorry if people are "pained in both way" by the game.

"Virtuaman," as atomic number 2's known on Newgrounds, told the CBC that the point of the game is to "draw care to the realness of schoolhouse shootings." "I didn't make IT to Be a sicko or anything. I didn't need to violate the families Beaver State any of that, but I judge it's going to," atomic number 2 said. "It's pretty graphic."

It's not actually realistic at entirely; IT includes images of the hitman that appeared in the bid at the sentence and plenty of pixelated blood, but the gameplay and graphics are about what you'd ask from a simplistic Flash game. Nevertheless, Montreal police are apparently "investigating" the game, although connected what grounds is currently unclear. Virtuaman added that he doesn't think he's broken any laws.

Dawson College Massacre! International Relations and Security Network't the first videogame to be supported a school shooting. In 2005, Super Aquilegia Massacre RPG!, based on the 1999 flack on Columbine Graduate School that leftfield 13 late and 24 injured, was released to an even greater uproar.
